Ben Posner, a junior and standout tuba player, will tour Japan, China and South Korea as part of the National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America, is composed of nearly 100 musicians ages 16-19 from 29 states and Washington D.C.

Seniors Ava Hubner and Chai Cunningham were included in the show, which features the work of artists from 12 area high schools.

The bus purchases would be of little cost to local taxpayers thanks to grants and state aid reimbursement programs.

The Board of Education announced it intends to add a referendum on the May 20 school budget and board election ballot asking voters if they would support a renovation project utilizing a grass field surface.

More than 70 students contributed to a mural that will hang outside the school during a project that stressed emotional well-bring, collaboration and creativity.
