The Red Hook Central School District is pleased to participate in the New York State Seal of Civic Readiness program. The NYSSCR is a credential demonstrating that a student has participated in academic instruction and civic engagement activities to prepare them to be a civically engaged individual Review the video presentation here (with audio) and Student & Parent SCR Handbook below for additional information. The handbook includes a detailed description of requirements for earning the Seal. After reviewing these resources feel free to reach out to the Seal of Civic Readiness Coordinator or your child’s guidance counselor with any questions.

How to apply

The New York State Education Department seal, featuring the state seal and text.Complete the letter of intent before Dec. 1 of your senior year in the “Seal of Civic Readiness” Teams page for your graduating class, and contact the Seal of Civic Readiness coordinator, your Student Services counselor or your Social Studies teacher.
