Athletic Scholarships NCAA
Student Athletes: Any student who wishes to seek an athletic scholarship in order to play Division I or Division II level sports in college is regulated by rules established by the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association.)
**In addition to course work, minimum grade point average and test scores are required. At the end of their junior year, all prospective student-athletes are encouraged to make contact with the NCAA clearinghouse and establish initial eligibility. To register with the clearinghouse, students should access NCAA and click on “Prospective Student Athletes.” Red Hook High School is registered with the clearinghouse and, generally, a college preparatory program meets the NCAA core course requirements. Students may access the list of approved Red Hook High School courses here. Our CEEB code is 334685. Copies of The Sliding Grade-Point Average/Test Score Index Scale for Division I Athletes are available in the Office of Student Services. All students who are interested in playing sports at the college level are encouraged to create a Profile Page early in their high school career. It can be converted to a certification account at a later date. Click here to create your Profile Page. |
